PRESERVE
Documentation, provenance, and the archival traces that give a work its context
ABOUT 5000YEARS

THE CHALLENGE
As artworks move through collections, inheritances, and generations, the records that hold their provenance, context, and ownership history are often fragmented, dispersed, or irreversibly lost.

WHAT WE DO
5000 YEARS preserves the knowledge surrounding a work of art, not as an extension of ownership, but as part of its life across time
01
Documentation, provenance, and the archival traces that give a work its context
02
Ownership history, authenticity, and the integrity of the knowledge that defines a work
03
The continuity of understanding carried from one custodian to the next, across generations.
WHO WE ARE
BIOGRAPHY
Managing Director
Beatrice Pinto has spent her career at the intersection of collecting, cultural stewardship, and institutional development. At 5000YEARS, she guides the organisation’s long-term vision and its relationships with collectors, estates, and cultural partners.
Artistic Director
Qionger Jiang brings a curatorial sensibility shaped by contemporary practice and historical research. Her work at 5000YEARS ensures that every system of preservation remains attentive to the poetry, context, and singularity of the object itself.
Strategy Director
Maximin Berko works across cultural strategy, market intelligence, and institutional positioning. He shapes how 5000YEARS responds to the evolving needs of collectors, foundations, and the wider art ecosystem.
Exhibitions Director
Harry Van Der Hoorn has developed exhibitions and cultural programmes across Europe and Asia. His practice is rooted in the belief that context, display, and interpretation are inseparable from the life of an artwork.
Marketing Director
Edmond Tao oversees the language and presence of 5000YEARS in the public sphere. His work focuses on clarity, restraint, and communicating value without excess — qualities central to the institution’s character.
Chief Technical Officer
Frederic Vedrunes leads the technical foundations of 5000YEARS with a focus on durability, discretion, and trust. His approach to technology is intentionally quiet: rigorous enough to endure, invisible enough to let the art remain central.
Technology Director
Luche Zhang bridges art, technology, and design to build systems that honour the integrity of artworks and their records. Her work ensures that innovation serves preservation without dominating it.
We believe that what surrounds a work, its provenance, context, and knowledge, is inseparable from its meaning
